I do not disagree.  However, it is not possible for you to have already
met and worked with all the people you will meet and enjoy working with,
and that may be the value of keeping the door open.

You can avoid a lot of problems by working with people you like to work
with.  You can also avoid problems by likeing to work with a lot of
people.
