When last I heard, Preservation Maryland was working on a Millenium
Celebration and a "Save Maryland's Treasures" Initiative to coordinate with
the fed program. The state had committed $300,000 to the grant fund and PM
planned to contribute an additional $150000. I don't know whether this is
actually in place as of yet, but you may want to contact Tyler Gearheart, who
was executive director of Preservation Maryland when I last looked, at
410-685-2886. Maybe there's historic diner money in there somewhere.
