Hey, materials people? For sixty years my family has been using candle butts
to wax the metal runners of our venerable Flexible Flyer 5-F, under the
impression that this speeded things up. But recently I cleaned the runners
and discovered....sixty years of candle wax. What is the preferred treatment
for a metal runner, to improve slickness on ice or snow?
