Hello!

I thought I'd share with everyone what I thought was exciting news!
allrecipes.com, which I think is a great site for cooks anyway, has a
gluten-free category! You can find cookies, breads, and cakes! Pretty good
for a mainstream site! Also, if you try the "advanced search", you can
search by ingredients that you want or don't want. So, you can look for,
say, chicken recipes that HAVE tomatoes, but DON'T have breadcrumbs or
flour:)

You will notice in the GF bread section that there is a recipe for rye
bread. I emailed them, bringing this error to their attention & received
the following nice reply back:

Dear Jane,

Thank you for bringing that error to our attention! The Health Dynamics Rye
Bread should not have been listed in the gluten free category. That error
has been corrected and should appear corrected on our Web site within 24
hours.

Thanks for your feedback to the Allrecipes.com(r) network. The staff here
appreciates your comments very much and is committed to making
Allrecipes.com(r) the premier meal planning site on the Internet.

So,hey, they made a mistake. They are trying! Hopefully it WILL be
corrected promptly. (Maybe they'll need another gentle reminder...)

Happy cooking & Merry Christmas!

Jane in NY

I am not @ all associated w/allrecipes.com-just think we ought to support
any efforts made by mainstream outlets to cater to accomodate us!
