From my exp, bad CPU won't work at all in normal case, but I did see a damaged
CPU (IBM 6x86 100) that only works minutes (in cold condition, if in worm
condition, it will only last less than 30s), as soon as it get worm, it won't
work. So I guess the issue is depending on the damage. I cannot tell what has
damaged, but a very very hot CPU is not a good sign.
