I don't have a lot of experience with Zip drives and I have a few questions
about them.

I have a customer who I set up 3 years ago with a SyQuest EZ 230 MB for
data backup and it has worked extremely well.
Now the drive is failing and I am thinking of replacing it with a Iomega
Internal Zip 250MB Atapi Drive zip drive. The SyQuest is an internal EIDE
drive. In as much as the drive is swapped out only once in the morning I
don't bother loading drivers. The drive is seen like any other IDE drive at
post. In the unusual even that there is a need to change drives during the
day the PC is shut down, the drive switched and the machine restarted. The
OS is Win98 but the PC boots to Dos by default and spends 95 percent of
it's time in DOS. It is an extremely simple setup and as such has worked
without error.

Questions:
Can a zip drive work like this in both DOS and Windows 98 ....in other
words if there is no desire to hot swap drives must device drivers be used..

Can a 250 MB drive use smaller cartridges...like 100 meg ones ?

Any Iomega Zip drive comments or advice appreciated.
