I have a computer that does that about every six
months, same motherboard. Same problems.

My remedy involves a simple change to the
registry. Go to regedit (START-RUN-type in
regedit-enter)

Use CTRL+F to use the find funtion and search
for NOIDE (just like that).  Once it appears,
right click and change the value from whatever
(usually 1) to 0 (as in the number).

Properly exit the registry then reboot.  Verify
in device manager that all drives are working
properly.

Most people recommend backing up the registry
before making any changes.
