>How does one eat the skin and the bones?
i lately helped a group of peoples from the philipines living in hawai ,
butchering a cow . to my surprise they eat absolutely all the parts ,skin
included ( i was disapointed hopping to get the left overs ).
They told me that they were burning the hairs over an open fire then boiling
the skin for hours .
they were pressing the stomack content thru a cheesecloth to make a green
drink shared by everybody, even the bile was used to make a powerful
medecine,.
the fat in the bones is so easy to get just break them with a stone, an
hammer an axe or whatever and with some skill you obtain the bone marrow in
one piece. There is a bird in the pyrennees specialised in bone marrow ,it
is all what this bird eat ( gypaete) its technique is simple fly high with
the bone and drop it on rock, til it break.
