Hi, Adrienne
I am new to this list and have been lurking and enjoying. I can't
answer your question about okra being paleo, but I did happen on an
interesting statement in "Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill" by Udo Erasmus
about okra: Page 368: "Certain kinds of fiber provide food for
beneficial bacteria in our intestines. The most effective kinds of
fiber for this purpose include the fiber from okra, psyllium and flax".

I'm a Southern girl, and happen to love okra, so this does my heart
good. I used to indulge in the favorite way of eating it: fried in
cornmeal batter, but now opt for steamed with onions.

Back to lurkdom,
Jan in Colorado
