When you boot the system there should be a blinking cursor at
the top right hand of the system; at the very least you should
hear a beep. @ either simply hit the F-10 key and then you are
in unless there is a password protecting it and then you have
to clear the password via a jumper on the mother board.

For the jumper asignment find the manual because compaq's site
simply sucks.
