Yes, you'll need an 80 connector cable in order to get the advantages of
ATA66

to recognize ATA66 ?

You shouldn't have to.  The BIOS should detect and properly recognize the
drive without any changes from you as long as you leave the setting at AUTO.

> Thirdly, How can I verify that all is working correctly ?

During POST you should see the drive identified as an ATA66 instead of
ATA33.
