My observation also is that if you go in to get your mercury out, yes
you
will get it out, but you will also end up with crowns/root canals,
etc.
I had NO root canals or crowns at all until they started digging out
the
mercury.
Mary,
Do you mean that the process of removing the mercury caused the need
for
root canals, etc? When Dr Katz filled my teeth, he never even
discussed
whether he was going to use mercury, composite or gold. I suppose I
have
mercury, since they are grey. (Is there another compound which is
grey?) The
mercury-filled teeth ache and "taste" like metal. I hate it. I would
rather
have gold, but not at the expense (I don't mean financial expense) of
a root
canal. Do most insurance companies pay for gold fillings, or only if
medically necessary? I will have to check with my provider on that.
Man, I hate this. I would rather have a pap smear (yikes!) than go to
the
dentist. I don't trust them. I certainly don't want my healthy wisdom
teeth
removed, I don't want to end up with headaches and neck pain for the
rest of
my life, or systemic infections in the jaw. My godmother went though
an
excruciating HELL for several months with a situation like this that
was
misdiagnosed several times before they found the infection. ("I told
you
so")
I wish we had a "paleo-friendly" dentist here (on the list).
Stacie
