i didn't gave any evaluation or judgement lie that just relating to you that
taste is a very changeable experience .( there is no objective such thing
as THE taste of a food ,it all depends of your relationship to it , in
ime )

first it is almost for sure frozen fish ( no wonder it doesn't taste )
maybe washed with fresh water ( like they do with shrimps or scallops )
second if eaten with the seasonning not a surprise that you find the taste
of the fish bland in comparaison.
try an oily fish lie sardine anchovies mackerel you will get a strong taste
there.

it might not be a fact but an experience ,and in my opinion it is what
compt. , in my experience vegetables and fruits are way more problematic for
my ability to digest especially if big quantities are eaten .I am
especially subject to indigestion because of not having secretion of
cortisone that is of utmost importance for metabolism of glucides ,lipides
and proteins .
without enough cortisone anything could be left undigested for hours but i
still do better with meats in that regard.
