I recently received a free sample of Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes from
Betty Crocker with my newspaper. I read the list of ingredients, and of
course, it contained wheat.

I e-mailed the company asking if they had any products that did not contain
the offending grains and received an e-mail back that all ingredients are
listed on the packages.

I just wish that the people responsible for Customer Relations and Product
Development - in any company - would put themselves in our place for a day.
Just imagine that you cannot eat any product with wheat, rye, oats or barley.
See how many of your favorite, or even your basic foods you can no longer
eat.

Do we really need wheat flour as a thickener all the time? Why not potato
starch or corn starch? Why put wheat flour in mashed potatoes at all?

Thanks for listening!
