Hi!
I received many posts about my inquiry regarding the Vitamix Kitchen
Appliance, summarized below:
3 - grinds coffee beans
2 - makes good smooth juice
2 - just love it and couldn't live without it
1 - wishes that they hadn't spent the money to buy it
5 - makes great frozen fruit smoothies and sherbets
1 - makes good nut butter
1 - makes nut milks and seed milks
3 - use for grinding grains, rice and beans into flour
2 - makes salsa
4 - feel that it doesn't grind grain evenly and have to sift and then
regrind larger pieces
1 - grinds grain in vitamix, but then still has to put it through grain
mill
1 - burned up vitamix right away grinding gain for flour
1 - doesn't like juice -- too thick and pulpy
3 - machine is way too noisy
1 - doesn't replace blender because blades are different
For myself, after reading the brochure again and reading all of your
posts, I don't think that I am going to order the vitamix. I don't
really feel that it will do all of the things that it claims so I don't
think it is worth the cost of $400-$450. I did find on the vitamix
website that you could order a reconditioned one for a $30 discount (not
much in my opinion).
Thank you all for your input on this issue. I really appreciate all of
your help.
