The recovory disk will format the harddisk (I believe so, I know IBM
recovory disk does format). before you use the recovory disk, you should
have a bootable floppy disk with cd-rom driver for sercurity. your machine
should be able to boot from cd-rom (the recovory cd is bootable), so be sure
you set the machine boot from cd-rom first (do it in BIOS), remove all
partition, create one big primary partition, reboot from the CD, it should
take care the rest.
**It is a good idea to have a few smaller partitions rather than one big 20G
partition, just my $0.02.**
