I just bid a sad farewell to a 3.8 gig Quantum Fireball, which died at
the same time I was copying files from a cheapie CD drive, which
was doing its super oscillation thing, threatening to fly out of the
case. Is it possible the vibrations killed the HD? I would hate to
repeat that nasty experience with a new drive.
In defense of the CD, the HD did develop its first badtrack on C:\ a
couple of weeks ago.
My ISP is having trouble, so I would greatly appreciate your extra
time if you could please cc: your response to:

Many thanks for your help!
