Yes. Micro$oft is a monopoly.

1) Micro$oft has use some of the most anti-competitive practices know in
   to the business world.

There they could not drive out competition, the undermined it and bought
it out.

2) The have conspired to kill (not stop or slow) anyone who would compete
against their products. They have withheld important codes and
   information in an OPEN environment.

This has caused thousands of people and businesses lose money and/or go
out of business. Micro$oft has slowed down the development of software
and hardware products. The current anti-competitive tactics used against
the Corel Corporation (WordPerfect) cannot be remedied without separating
the operating system (OS) from the application from the browsers from the
hardware specification required to run all of the above.

The benefits of a Micro$oft breakup will be seen in the innovations of
hardware and software item reaching the market place. A reduction the
total cost of software ownership and computing in general. Many of
corporation, organizations and end users held hostage to the Micro$oft
secretes standards will be freed to advance their development and the
development of the industry in general.

There are too many people/corporation and/or organizations that have
decided to solely concentrate on Micro$oft's psedo standards and products.
They ignore better implementations of products and services which create
barriers to innovations and progress.
