Hi,
I'm thinking about upgrading my old p166 cyrix processor with an iwill
tv512 motherboard to something a bit faster such as a p2.
Right now I have 128 mb of edo memory, I'm wondering:
1 What would be the best motherboard to buy
2 can I still use the 128 mb of edo memory I have or will I have to buy
sdram
3 Is there anything I should stay far away from?
I just want to change the processor and motherboard, everything else will
stay the same, have ide hard drives, 3gb and 20gb as well as an atapi
cdrom.
I need something very fast and that can handle lots of multi media as I
have special adaptive software that uses software speech so the more power
the better. I was hoping to stay around $500 including 128 mb of sdram,
that is if I have to or should buy new memory too.
