Help Please!!!
Hello to the group. I have what may be a very trivial and silly
question but would rather seem
dumb than to fry a new mother.
I just bought all the stuff to get my wife into the Ninties. I am
getting ready to build her a
Gigabyte GA-5AX with an AMD K62 500. What I am stuck on is the VCC3
connector and voltage
jumper settings. I don't know what this is. I have built probably 2
dozen systems but they
have been mostly PCchips PC100 boards and she wanted a seperate video
so we got a diamond card
with 32mb.
I see the temp sensor under the Socket7 and I thought perhaps that was
what the VCC3 reference
was.
I also thought perhaps it has to do with the AGP video card thinking
it might be "Video Control Card" but I would rather show my ignorance
than to just plug it in and see what happens.
My choices are for JP11:VCC3 Connector
1-2, 3-4 close VCC3(PSU)<->VCC3(MB.
1-3, 2-4 close VCC3(PSU)<=>VCC3(MB)
and the = has a slash thru it.
JP13:VCC Voltage Setting VCC3=3.58 or VCC3=3.3
Somebody splain it to me please.
Thanks for any imput.
