For a smart New Yawkuh, yo' ain't too bright:

1)  it's free, and

2)  it lets the benighted souls out in the provinces think they're keeping up
with    those of us of the metropolitan persuasion.  And laugh at us in front
of our  backs. Or behind our faces.

Termite sniffing dogs, indeed.

When are they going to come up with something really useful: a sewer-dwelling
alligator that can expedite at the Bldg Dept, but doesn't smell bad.  How
about epoxy-coated mice trained to seal concealed cracks in terra cotta?
