You might be referring to a historic theatre on Farmington Ave, Hartford-CT.
Its located very near the Mark Twain House and Harriet Beecher Stowe House.
There is a group trying to save it. You'd want to call the CT Historical
Commission in Hartford to find out more; I can't remember the name of the
preservation group involved (maybe Hartford Preservation Alliance?) but CHC
will know.  In any case, whatever theatre it is, the CHC will probably have
the info.
