More on this brand of eggs i got a message back from the company' s
researcher.

<Our Eggland's Best hens are caged and our CFO Cage-Free Organic <are floor
housed with a minimum of 2 square feet per bird (available in <the upper
Midwest and areas of the NE United States. I don't know the <space
allowance in the caged birds. It varies depending on the <individual farm,
but whatever it is, I'm pretty confident it wouldn't be <anything for me to
brag about. Cage housing is more sanitary and the <risk of Salmonella
infection is about 1/3 that of floor-housed birds, but it <doesn't provide
an impressive amount of space.

more was on his post but i asked him 1st if he was okay with me forwarding
his message. I wait for the green light. very interesting informations.
have somebody heard about the brand name colombus hens.? They are supposed
to be fed an original diet .
