You have no factual basis on which to make this statement.  You're merely
our resident List Troll these days, without means to present a coherent or
consistent argument.  If you're not too damn provincial to know, there's a
routine campaign against journalists in Zimbabwe (white, black, makes no
difference to me).  Pearl could reasonably be considered an
aberration.  It's a one-off, which doesn't make it any less sad, but does
eliminate the need for systematic analysis.

False?  Your government is still illegally holding an Australian national
under conditions that breach his human rights.  What was false about the
comments posted on this list about the US illegally detaining people in cages?

Now, unless you've something meaningful to add, stop trolling the list.
