How wonderfull Mary;
                                You transported me across space and time and
as I have family in "the Clair" you captured a moment that could have been
any decade..
..I recall fondly different streets would have street associations...The
Bellview ave association comes to mind..
Under trees that were a 100 yrs old there came the day of the block party.
And woe is you if it was centered around your house as the garden prep was
endless
everyone who lived on the block was invited.
Traffic was light in those days and they allowed partial street closures
...kids would ride bikes and hoola hoop; bar b que was in full stride and it
 was byob for beverage....I liked the fashion parade of bee hive hair do's
and chintz aprons with endless bowls of popcorn to entertain yourself with.
I din't like the slober kisses from large women neighbors with too much
lipstick...but that was the price of the ticket ...the remaider of the
evening was spent chasing fireflys with cousins way too fast for me .
Thanks for the trip...PS I will be working on the Met for a week in June see
you then? Best Michael
