It is not a surprise to see this new act of official violence in
Bushland.        George is ready to execute Kamau Wilkerson, a prisoner
who just released a hostage a few days ago.      Please spread the word
about how the 2 prisoners, Guidry and Wilkerson released their hostage,
while the would-be next President of the US, George Bush,  continues his
murder spree in his home state of Texas.

He should put these 2 prisoners on his campaign staff, along with the 3
community negociators that secured the release of the hostage.
They covered his you-know-what, right before the big Super Tuesday
primary.       Now his courts have just jailed one of the negociators,
Njeri Shakur, who is a grandmother of 8.

I know that neither the community activists, nor the prisoners, really
want to be known for coming to the assistance of that ungrateful alky
wretch, but still they did, and the world should know how grateful he
isn't.     It's a wierd angle to help try to save people's lifes and to
help bring down the death penalty.       But the contrast and hypocrisy
need to be shown.

For me, the issue is most personal.     Anyone whoever has met Njeri
Shakur, knows her as one of the most gentle and decent people they will
ever meet.       What an opposite number from the son of Mr. CIA.
And Njeri risked jail to speak out for basic decency, the right for a
prisoner to protest his own execution date being announced in court.

Consider the character of Bush.       In his own admission,  he has been
a no account son of a big name for most of his life.       His party has
spent 8 years or so, talking about nothing except character.       And
all they have to offer is the character of a murdering ingrate.

Spread the word- about the hostage, the governor, the 2 prisoners, and
the community actvist jailed for being too decent.     And spread the
word about the racist terrorism of the municipal police departments in
Texas.

HPD has again murdered another young immigrant brother in cold blood. In
the early morning hours of March 5, Jaime Santiago was in his home
enjoying music, and for this, he was shot three times and killed by an
HPD cop. The Houston Chronicle reported on the front page, the cops
version of events that night. Or rather, their excuses...They claim that
Jaime pulled a plastic toy gun, and they were in fear for their lives.

Residents of the apartments where Jaime lived told La Resistencia how
the cops arrested and beat Jaime's friend, who is an eye witness to his
brutal murder. We were also informed that the cops went door to door in
the apartments to find out what the people had witnessed, so that they
would know exactly how far they needed to go in another murder cover
up!!
Look at the case of Pedro Oregon.... after his home was invaded by this
thuggish gang in blue called the HPD he was shot at 33 times and hit 12
times from behind, killing him. Yet his killers walk free! Our immigrant
brother Amadou Diallo was shot at 41 times and hit 19 times, killed by
the NYPD. These killer cops have just been acquitted of any wrong doing
in his death. Since this acquittal, cops around the country have gone on
a rampage!! A rampage that gave Houston cop M. Reutzel the green light
to shoot Jaime Santiago dead without fear of consequence.

Brothers and Sisters of Houston, La Resistencia calls on you to join us

ENCIERREN EL POLICIA ASESINO PARA SIEMPRE

¡La Policia de Houston nuevamente ha matado a otro hermano joven
inmigrante a sangre fría! En la noche de 5 de marzo Jaime Santiago
estuvo en su hogar y disfrutaba de su música, y por eso fue disparado
tres veces y asesinado por un oficial de la H.P.D. (Departamento de
Policia de Houston) En el periódico (Houston Chronicle) reportaron en
la página principal la versión de la policia y los eventos de esa
noche. Más bien sus excusas...Ellos afirman que Jaime supuestamente
sacó una pistola de plástico y que el policia temió por su vida.
Pero el amigo de Jaime que estuvo con él fue citado en el mismo
artículo diciendo que Jaime no tuvo nada en su mano y fue matado
después de subir el volumen de su estereo.

Residentes de los apartamentos donde Jaime vivía afirman a La
Resistencia que los policias arrestaron y golpearon el amigo de Jaime
quien fue un testigo del asesinato. También fuimos informados que los
policias fueron puerta a puerta en los apartamentos para investigar
quien más habia sido un testigo para saber que tan lejos ellos
necesitan llegar en otro asesinato y cubrirlo.

Miren el caso de Pedro Oregón después que su casa fue invadida por
esta pandilla en azul que se llaman H.P.D, él fue disparado 33 veces.
12 balas fueron impactos directos hacia su espalda, matándolo. ¡Y
sus asesinos andan libre! Nuestro hermano inmigrante africano Amadou
Diallo fue disparado 41 veces y fue alcanzado por 19 de esos tiros, y
asesinado por la policia de Nueva York. Estos policias asesinos acaban
de ser declarados no culpables. Desde esta absolución, policias
alrededor de este país han destrozado todo en su paso. Este alboroto
le dio al policia M. Reutzel la luz verde para disparar a Jaime Santiago
muerto sin miedo de las consequencias.

Hermanas y hermanos de Houston La Resistencia urge que ustedes se unan
con nosotros en esta protesta contra el asesinato de nuestro hermano
