Thanks for the responses to my questions. I sent this message originally
Friday night but it didn't get to the list until today. I spent a long
night Friday night. The drive I was trying to install was a drive I had
been using to clone my primary hard drive to as a backup. I think it was
marked active but of course couldn't be since it was going to be E: in the
new system. Fdisk wouldn't touch it. Partiton magic actually crashed
trying to reformat... Strange. I ended up pulling out an old MaxBlast disk
that I had and using it to destroy the partiton and start over. As soon as
I did that all was well. I guess I should have tried the MaxBlast a lot
earlier. The drive runs fine as either master or slave on the secondary IDE.
As information, I'm using the 3rd drive for Win2000. It's a really easy
install and a really nice OS if you want an opinion.

Thanks again for the support.

Ben Moore
