Furthermore, the remaining energy from fat would have been
predominantly monounsaturated fat, from nuts, marrow, organs,
etc. Saturated fats are created mainly when animals convert
sugars to fats for storage. Wild animals do not have much
storage fat, except for those species that fatten up in the fall,
in preparation for the winter.
