There are two historic buildings...nearly identical.  The hazardous material
mitigation alone will cost more than anyone would want to invest in the
buildings.  A plan is afoot to adatively reuse one as a building and
adaptively demolish the other for a parking lot.  The first is not feasible
without the parking lot.  I wish the parties were shallow profit driven
developers...they are not.

What is excellence?  The buildings are of no special significance, just old
and part of a context, a landscape, a storey.  How is this work done well?
