These are temporary files left over from (1) installation of a program that
you may have installed and it didn't delete the files or (2) Windows 98SE
was improperly shutdown IMHO. :-). Using the info from this web site as a
guide,
http://www.annoyances.org/cgi-bin/ce-showtopic/002_008, after backing up the
files (include system files as well) themselves or importing/exporting these
"keys" if in fact the can be considered that, to another storage medium, try
deleting them and reboot your computer. Before deleting them, try saving
them as a "txt" file (if you can) and edit them with either notepad or the
System Configuration Utility (Msconfig.exe). This will sometimes give you an
idea as to which files or program the info belongs too. In general, files
that end with the "*.tmp" extension can be safely deleted without any
problems. HTH. :-)
