The recent discussion: Re: raids, mirrors... leads me to hope that
someone here can help.

I have a Compaq SystemPro Server in the shop (as part of a barter deal).
It is only a 386, but I saw it as a chance to learn more about Compaqs and
RAID arrays. It has an "Intelligent Drive Array" (IDA) EISA card.

The card has a sticker with P/N*7Q46Q0JMB*, S/N133828 C 21,
Assy NO. 002037 REV (blank), DIA. NO. 00238, BOARD NO. 00239-001 A/W REV A
9113 in ink, and FAB REV A(in a square box).

I searched Compaq's website, and downloaded a bunch of Compaq's SoftPaqs:
SP2849 - Server Diagnostics Ver. S10.08 Rev. A
SP5736 - Drive Array Advanced Diagnostics Ver. 1.44 Rev. A (DAAD)
SP7565 - Compaq Array Configuration Utility Ver. 2.00 Rev. A (ACU)
SP4991 - Compaq Array Configuration Utility Ver. 1.10 Rev. C (ACU)
SP3599 - Compaq Array Configuration Utility Ver. 1.10 Rev. B (ACU)

None of the ACUs recognized the IDA card - (They only handle SmartSCSI).
Compaq Technical service said I needed Compaq Part Number 123029-001 or
116807-001, which are no longer available...

I believe that the ACU used to contain a segment that set up the RAID 4
IDE Drive Array in the system, which has now been removed.

I would appreciate it if anyone who has got one working could help.
