Welcome Mrs. L.

I would never (and I'm sure most everyone would agree)
to try and dissuade you from your religious beliefs.
But I feel compelled to make this comment. I don't
understand why many folks who consider themselves
Christian reject evolution. It is like any other
scientific theory in that it pretty much ignores the
issue of "God". Just like astronomy, as a science,
ignores "God". Or mathematics. Or biology. And so on.

My point is this. If you are unable to reconcile
evolution and Christianity, then you might find it
difficult to accept many of the ideas and theories
you'll read about here. However, if you are able to
accept evolution as just another way of understanding
the universe, then you should have no problem.

In either case, welcome to the group.
