Gov't sponsored marches are only known in dictatorships as obtained in The
Gambia. We've seen television footage of Iraqis and Cubans many times. What
happened yesterday was all sound and political rhetoric signifying absolutely
nothing.
Celebrating the President's b' day is one thing, but if the political
objective was to polish his image, I agree with you that it was a failure.
